I have uploaded two or three cloud pictures recently and they passed QC without problem. I can't say whether they where scrutinized during QC because as I understand alamy only checks a sample of images of each upload.
Cheers,

I like the search possibility in the new version a lot. However in most other respects I like the old version better. Mainly, as stated by others, because you need so many clicks until you get were you want to be. The old version combined with a search possibility would have been great.

Thanks a lot Thyrsis, that was just the information I needed!
I will then resize it a little more so it's less than 200 MB uncompressed and try again.
Kind regards,

I have one image which I've tried to upload three times, but in vain. It was a high resolution illustration about 19MB of compressed file size. After the second time I got an image processing error (not during the upload process but later when informed about QC outcome) I resized it to 12 MB File size (so now it was about 10000x10000 pixels and 280 MB uncompressed file size.), because I thought maybe it's just too large to be handled by the Alamy image processing software, or something. But again I got an "image processing error" at the QC outcome (all other images got through.)
Originally I had a smaller version at another image library but a customer of them wanted it bigger ( for a big wall display or something, I guess) but that agency was not willing to negotiate a higher price (or that customer did not want to pay for a bigger size, I don't know), at least I did not hear from them again. But I already had made the large version. So I tried to upload it on at Alamy instead. Since it took me a whole day to make this large size version it would be quite frustrating if the Alamy uploader cannot handle it because of size. I don't understand this anyway, because I clearly remember, that somewhere in the upload guidelines it says that you can upload images up to 20 MB compressed file size. So 12 MB should not be a problem, should it? Everything else about the image seems quite normal, compressed jpg "baseline standard" (with CS3), "Adobe RGB 1998" profile and everything else in the work progress was the same as with my other images which don't get these strange errors.
Has anyone else experienced image processing errors with large file size or has a tip what could be the reason? Would it be worthwhile to mail alamy about this, or can I not expect a specific answer about such a "trifling" matter?
Kind regards,
Simone
