North Wind Picture Archives, a leading US collection of hand coloured historical images, illustration and engravings has joined forces with Alamy images to increase the worldwide availability of their collection.
North Wind brings history to life with its collection, portraying amongst many things, the Native Americans, settlers and pioneers, trade and commerce, portraits, pivotal historic events, social history, exploration, geography, science and invention.
The addition of the North Wind Picture Archive augments Alamy's historical collection from leading specialist agencies around the world. Alamy's representation of these specialists continues to develop, and as a direct result we are able to offer an extremely wide array of imagery from across the annals of history.
North Wind offers a small but growing, and highly significant selection of imagery through Alamy which can be searched and browsed by clicking the links on the right.
