Alamy opens US office

Oxfordshire, UK, 18 February 2009

Alamy, the world’s largest online stock photo agency, is starting an exciting new phase of growth with the opening of a sales office in the United States.

The office, now open in New York, marks the launch of a campaign to significantly increase US sales. It is staffed by dedicated national sales representatives who will be on hand to offer a more personal and tailored service to customers.

Our new sales team includes Griff Thomas who will handle new business from educational and general publishers, Starr Hackwelder covering travel and magazines and April Tripodi who will look after commercial clients, corporate and consumer products.

Fabienne Dudognon will transfer from our UK office to manage the team for two years. She will be joined by Alamy’s existing US account managers Surina Bhatti and Adele West who are moving to New York for 12 months. Alamy CEO James West is also spending six months in the US to oversee operations.
