Madeleine Korbel Albright, born 1937 in Prague Czechoslovakia, became the first female United States Secretary of State under then President Bill Clinton in 1997. Albright served as the president of the Center for National Policy (1989-1993), Professor of international affairs and director of the Women in Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington DC (1982-1993) and the U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations (1993-1996). Albright has written a number of books including ‘Fascism: A Warning’ a 2019 New York Times Bestseller.
