On Holocaust Remembrance Day 2023, an anonymous hand pinned the picture of three children and some flowers on the old door at number 5999 Cannaregio, in Venice. The children were deported to Auschwitz, with their parents and one-year-old brother, in 1943. They were 14, 10, 7 years old. They were killed in Auschwitz on February 26, 1944 with their one-year-old brother. Some years ago, 7 "stumbling stones" were put at the entrance of their house. A note under the photo says: " Anna, Guido, and Giorgia Dina. Leone was one year old, and we will never know what face he had".
