Mass wedding ceremony of the Unification Church, Aug 27, 2018 : Couples from Japan pray during a mass wedding ceremony of the Unification Church at the CheongShim Peace World Center in Gapyeong, about 60 km (37 miles) northeast of Seoul, South Korea. Four thousand newlywed couples from around the world participated in the mass wedding on Monday, which was organized by Hak Ja Han Moon, wife of the late Reverend Sun Myung Moon. Rev. Moon founded the church in Seoul in 1954. The Rev. Moon, the Korean evangelist, businessman and self-proclaimed messiah died of pneumonia at his religious town on September 3, 2012 at the age of 92.
