They are being hunted by the Philippine police and military who have orders to ''shoot them on sight''.. The two fugitives have been raiding villages for good - and are said to have killed a farmer and wounded another who resisted them... Both the ex-Japanese Imperial Army men are armed and the locality in which they are hiding is den se jungle.. The villagers are panic stricken and cannot go to work in their fields because of the menace of the two 'rebels'.. Leaflets have been dropped - and loud hailers set up - telling them that the war is over - and that they can comeout of the jungle.. The two men are Lieut. Hiroo Onoda - now 37 and SGT.
