Beograd, Vojvodina, Serbia. 22nd Mar, 2017. Inside the living quarters of some of the refugees. As of March 22, and despite dwindling media and international attention, approximately 900 stranded refugees still remain at the Belgrade Warehouses, in the shadow of new luxury hotels being erected next to the property. After the closure of the Balkan Route by the European Union, Serbia became the point where numerous refugees found that they could neither move forward in their quest to reach the European Union- in many cases to join family, nor go back.
