The day after a large fire threatened homes and property in Burleigh County, smoldering wood and high winds were still a concern for firefighters and homeowners. The fire began just south of Bismarck and the North Dakota National Guard helicopters dropped hundreds of loads of water from the air while local fire departments worked many hours on the ground getting the fire under control.
