The keep of the Castelnaud la Chapelle castle, seen from the eponymous village (Dordogne - France). In the middle of "Périgord noir" - casting its imposing silhouette over the landscape - Castelnaud or the "newcastle" seems to turn its back on the rivers below, yet somehow it still manages to dominate them. From its headland, its keep controls the the confluence of the Dordogne and Ceou rivers. On the North side it carefully observes its Beynac rival, while at its feet the eponymous village stretches out with its steep lanes.
