Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins and the hadrosaurus (Hadrosaurus foulkii). This was the world's first mounted dinosaur skeleton reconstruction, from 1858. The specimen was found in 1858 in the Woodbury Formation in New Jersey, the first dinosaur species known from more than isolated teeth identified in North America. Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins (1807-1894) was an English sculptor and natural history artist known for his work on the life-size models of dinosaurs in the Crystal Palace Park in south London.
