View of the Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, also known as the Youth Olympic Center, designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid in Nanjing city, east China's Jiangsu province, 27 August 2017. The Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, also known as the Youth Olympic Center, is located west of Nanjing Jianye District, overlooking the River shores of Iceland, the end of the axis of the Youth Olympic Games is the south side of State Avenue, north of Leshan road and the Jinsha River Road, west of the Yangtze River Avenue . The Youth Olympic Centre masterplan expresses the continuity, fluidity and connectivity between the urban environment of Hexi New Town, the agricultural farmland along the Yangtze River and the rural landscapes of Jiangxinzhou Island. An additional proposal by Zaha Hadid Architects includes a pedestrian bridge to link the plaza with the other side of the river.
