Bethesda M.E. Church Wootten Road Laurel Delaware. Part of Trap Pond State ParkMore information:
Bethesda M.E. Church Wootten Road Laurel Delaware. Part of Trap Pond State Park The first church at this location was built in 1823 after landowner George H. Vinson conveyed the lot to the original trustees: Phillip W. Matthews, Joseph Betts, John Wootton, Wingate Calaway, Newbold Vinson, and Isaac Betts. The present structure was built in 1879 and used until the early 1970s. The Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation bought the property in 2000 and restored the church by 2008. There used to be a fellowship hall next to the church and one-room schoolhouse across the road. (description pasted from Find a grave.com website)
