German Revolution 1918/1919: Burial of Karl Liebknecht and 31 other victims of the revolution in a mass grave on 25 January 1919. An empty coffin was put into the grave for Rosa Luxemburg. The crosses mark the coffins of Liebknecht and Luxemburg. Among others, Paul Levi for the KPD, Louise Zietz (on the far left), and Rudolf Breitscheid for the USPD delivered speeches.
