A low mounted "Ground Position Signal" within a depot for controlling the movement of trains within that area, the signal has cleared with two white lights indicating that it is clear for the Train Driver to pass this point being aware that the line may be blocked or obstructed a little further ahead. This particular signal protects a shed where fueling is carried out and was normally left clear to traffic unless the shed was occupied. As part of the Cow Lane modernization scheme this "G.P.S." has now been demolished along with the entire depot.
