Vintage photo of American businessman Henry Ford (1863 - 1947). Ford founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903 and became one of the richest and best known people in the world. He is credited with revolutionising transportation with the introduction in 1908 of the first inexpensive mass-produced automobile - the Model T - and transforming American industry by developing and refining assembly line manufacturing. The picture, by the National Photo Company, was taken on February 9 1927 as Ford left The White House following a meeting with US President Calvin Coolidge.
