The Imperial ramp of Domitian was the entrance to the Imperial Palace on the Palatine Hill from the Roman Forum. The complex was built under the reign of Domitian (1st century AD) and it included the Ramp, the Atrium (transformed in the church of Santa Maria Antiqua in the 4th century), the West Aula (the so called Temple of Augustus) and the Northeast Aula (Oratory of the Forty Martyrs)
