After his visit to Aberdeen to receive the Freedom of the City, Mr. Churchill went to stay at Dalmeny House, South Queensferry, Edinburgh, as the guest of the Earl and Countess of Roseberry. He and Mrs. Churchill their visit. The trees were set close to two elms which were planted at Dalmeny by Mr. Gladstone. April 29, 1946.
