Original one sail training ship of the German Navy with the name "Horst Wesel", it was after the end of the war in 1946 as a reparation in the US. Traditionally, all Coast Guard ships are referred to as cutters. Therefore the Prafix USCGC = United States Coast Guard Cutter. From 10 to 14 May, she visited the naval base in Kiel. As the German sailing training ship "Gorch Fock", she is one of six sailing ships of the "Gorch Fock" class. | usage worldwide
