1963 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible The second-generation Chevrolet Corvette, best known as the Sting Ray, might just be the best-looking ‘Vette ever made – bar none. The C2 was built between 1962 and 196, 7 and in the years leading up to its launch, famed GM engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov actually looked into the possibility of making the C2 mid-engined. While that never came to be, the C2 did end up with an evocative design and an even more evocative name.
