More information:

Standing at a pier facing Wabigoon Lake in Dryden, Ontario.  The lake is a natural lake that has also been raised a few feet for a nearby dam used for the paper company that can be seen in the background.  I had read a book called "Memoirs of an Unrepentant Field Geologist" by F.J. Pettijohn during my own spare time in high school & had heard about this lake as well as other lakes in the region that are accessible via a canoe route.  So when I passed through Dryden I knew I had to stop for a quick visit.   There were three young boys around age ten who were quite interactive from the local First Nations playing in the lake.  They were having races to who could dive into the lake first from a starting point further back, sometimes playing games under the boardwalk, as well as showing me several dance moves they were making in the water.
