More than 30 Buddhist monks and nuns from a Chinese temple established an art troupe to show their enthusiasm in Zen music. Abbot Shi Wuyue of Tiantai Temple established the Tiantaishan Music Zen Art Troupe in 2004, which is now called Guangxuan Art Troupe. Most of the troupe members are at the age of 20s. The youngest are two 8-year-old Tibetan monks. The troupe invites professional musicians from Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, in weekdays to teach the members music knowlodge and skills in playing violin, viola, cello, bass, erhu, Chinese zither, piano, guitar and other musical instruments, and take part in charity events and even concerts across the country when being invited.
