A doctor waits for fire fighters to free victims from the wreckage of the Hixon rail disaster. The accident occurred after a Inter-City train which crashed into a giant transformer on the level crossing at Hixon near Stafford on Saturday (6-1-68). In the crash eleven people were killed and forty injured. 6th January 1968
