A flock of sheep circulates in the Plaza de Cibeles during the transhumance festival in the center of Madrid. One more year the sheep have crossed the center of Madrid in a new edition of the Transhumance Festival. The festival has been celebrated since 1994 and fills the main arteries of the Spanish capital with sheep to vindicate extensive livestock farming as a tool for the conservation of biodiversity and the fight against climate change. This year some 1,100 sheep have paraded through the center of the capital. (Photo by David Canales/SOPA Images/Sipa USA)
