A late 19th century illustration of the cathedral in the town of Pamiers in the Ariège department of the Occitanie region, France. Built in the Southern French Gothic architectural tradition, the original church, dates back to the 12th century. The Wars of Religion during the 16th century caused great damage in the city, leaving only the bell tower, which could be used as a watchtower.
