A luxury Audi R8 sports car from Hong Kong which is detained alongside its driver by local police for speeding and drag racing on an expressway is parked at the yard of a police station in Shenzhen city, south China's Guangdong province, 11 November 2014. Thirteen suspects were detained by traffic police in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen after they were caught racing their luxury super cars on an expressway with speeds over 251 km/h. Chinese news portal Sina reports that most of the vehicles were sports cars, and the lineup included a Ferrari and a Lamborghini. It's said to be the largest number of people involved in such a case in decades. The suspects were all men from Hong Kong between the ages of 36 and 62. They told police that they race in Shenzhen because the highway there is broad and straight, while roads in Hong Kong are narrow and punishment is more harsh.
