They were a great idea, but very noisy for anyone using the phone inside the box, and the damp ruined the sticky stamps on reels inside the machine.Designed by Sir Charles Gilbert Scott only 5 out of the original 50 survive, This one in Warrington, others in in Bewdley (Worcestershire), Roos (East Yorkshire), Frodsham (Cheshire)
