A Victorian portrait of John Hullah - John Pyke Hullah (1812 – 1884) was an English composer and teacher of music. He notably wrote an opera using words by Charles Dickens and became Honorary Fellow of King's College, London and Professor of Vocal Music at Queen's College, London & at Bedford College, London. In addition he was chief organist of the Charterhouse (in its original location)
