Hundreds of people in the village of Pare, Kediri, Indonesia live from producing air rifles. In this village there are at least 20 rifle makers. Pare rose to fame as a producer of rifles since 1967. Villagers learned to make the rifles from the village of Cipacing, West Java, which has been making guns since 1960. Air rifles uses a pneumatic system with air pressure. The rifle on the market has an average caliber of 4.5 mm to 5.5 mm.
