A young boy guides his donkey with four jerry cans full of water, on a dirt road, on the outskirts of the Bamyan city, in the central Bamyan province. He delivers and sell water door to door to those families who are either affluent or do not have the means to transport water from streams to their homes. The average Afghan men struggles to support their family on the equivalent of US $3 per day, and some 20 to 30 per cent of children of primary-school age work to supplement the family income. There are thousands of children who work in hazardous conditions all over Afghanistan. July 8, 2007.
