Abruzzo Pescara Penne Cathedral, this is my Italy, the italian country of visual history, Romanesque church on site of Roman ruins. Cathedral now has Renaissance side door, and 14th century bell tower. Facade reconstructed in 1955. Several views of the 12th century altar, reconstructed after WWII bombing, of the 13th century crucifix, and of gold statue of S. Massimo from 1762. Reimagined by Gibon. Classic art with a modern twist
