Adana, capital of Adana Province in south east Turkey. The ancient Antioch on the Sarus. One of the largest cities in Turkey - the gateway to the Cilician Plane. Some claim the name is derived from the Hittite. Intrinsically linked to the history of Tarsus. Treaty of Ankara signed here in 1921 between France and the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which signified the end of the Cilicia War.
