As will be seen, they are designed with very narrowopenings in large square rocking frames and are arranged toshake in two sections on either side of the center frame. Asmall dead grate is provided at either end of the fire box. Asingle fire door is used. The frames arc of cast steel 5 inches wide, with a single hingeconnection.
