Two removable brass ink containers and holder for two pens in the form of two antlers mounted on a scroll. Scroll is engraved "Dem Löwen von Ostafrika / unserem Kommandeur / Oberst Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck 4. Nov. 1916." His small force of 14,000 kept 300,000 British busy for the war.
