Attractive Galleon Tirena moored to the Sibenik waterfront attracts the eyes of passers-by. Dubrovnik's wooden sailing ship is a replica of a 16th century galley. Tirena was built in a specialized shipyard in Omis, a town known as the medieval Croatian "pirate capital". The construction itself proved to be very challenging, so the shipyard had to be expanded in order to complete the construction of the galley.
