Rex Heuermann was arrested as a suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings. The massive police presence on First Avenue and Michigan Avenue remained for the sixth day, Thursday. Police apprehended Heuermann who they believe is involved in the Gilgo Beach serial killings. A New York architect was charged with six counts of murder in connection with the unsolved killings of women whose bodies were discovered on Gilgo Beach in Long Island over a decade ago.
