Aylesbury Vale, UK. 8th November, 2021. HS2 were today removing tree trunks from yet another woodland that they have felled for the High Speed Rail construction. This was only a few days after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced at the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow "to halt and reverse deforestation and land degradation by 2030. Not just halt, but reverse". He also described trees as being the "lungs of our planet", however, meanwhile HS2 are continuing to fell or put at risk 108 ancient woodlands for the much criticised HS2 railway.
