The phrase "back-to-backs" is often used, loosely, to describe any rows of old terraced housing, especially in the north of England. But these terraces in Woodview St. Leeds are proper back-to-backs: the left side of the terrace in the centre of the picture fronts onto Woodview St, while the rear of the terrace comprises separate dwellings fronting onto Woodview Grove behind, just visible far right. The houses are still there (as at 2021).
