Thompson, known as Jim (Greenville, Delaware, USA 21 March 1906 - missing in Malaysia in march 1967), was an American businessman and fashion designer who helped revitalize the Thai silk textile industry in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1976 the house and its lush garden in the center of Bangkok were converted into a museum.
