BBC men back to 29 days on storm bound lighthouse. After spending 29 days in the storm swept Bishop Rock Lighthouse, 7 miles of the Scilly Isles, BBC commentator Edward Ward and engineer Charles Coombs were taken off yesterday when the relief bow was finally able to cross to the rock. The men went to the Lighthouse on 20th. December to make a Christmas broadcast and have been weather bound in the 146 foot tower ever since. Photo shows, keeper Anthony Thomas comes sliding down the road and into the relief boat and is long and lonely spell on the storm swept Bishop Rock Lighthouse. 18 January
