The view is from Portland Island, towards across Swanson Channel to the Pender Islands (background on left), Beyond in the distance is Boundary Pass, which forms part of the Canada-US border. The area is part of the Salish Sea. Portland Island is a marine park and part of Canada's Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.
