Bucharest, Romania, March 1990. The statue of Lenin is removed, leaving only the pedestal, three months after the Romanian anticommunist revolution of December 1989. The statue was standing in Piata Scanteii (The Spark Plazza ) since the 1960. On top, someone placed a banner saying "Down with communism".
