Buddhist monks wearing face masks seen during the temple and wrapped red cloth around the golden Mountain. Devotees assembled to wrap sacred red cloth around the Golden Mount chedi, signifying the start of Wat Saket festival. Before the faithful lined up for a multicultural parade consisting of lion dancers, traditional Thai dancers, students from the temples school and spiritual brahmans. Names of families and loved ones were written onto the long stretch more than hundred meters of fabric in hopes of securing good fortune and blessings.
