Glionnas noddingminstrelsy poured out the melody in duemeasure, and lightened the specific gravityof every heel in the room. The enjoymentwas full. The friends who were present—and these included many of the retail groc-ers of the city—were loud in their praises ofthe affair, which proceeded from beginningto end without a hitch. The first two hours were whiled away bya concert. The pieces selected were good. and they were finely rendered, some of thecleverest vocalists in the city being on theprogramme.
