China, Tibet, Lhasa, The Ganden Monastery sits at the top of a natural amphitheater on Wangbur Mountain. It founded in 1409 AD but was mostly destroyed in 1959 by the Chinese military sat at the top of a natural amphitheater on Wangbur Mountain almost 2000 feet higher than the valley at right.
