Class 153 single coach Sprinter railcar passenger train, coupled to a two-car class 150 Sprinter DUM, forming a three-car train, passing Langho near Blackburn en-route to Manchester Victoria. The class 153's are conversions from two-car class 155 units, completed in 1991-92. The single car units can operate independently on rural or low passenger volume routes, or can be coupled to other Sprinter units to increase train capacity as needed.
