The Clifton Suspension Bridge links Clifton in Bristol with Leigh Woods in North Somerset. It is the iconic symbol of the City and County of Bristol. It was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened after his death in 1864. 2014 will, therefore, mark its 150th anniversary.
