. Clinical gyncology, medical and surgical. Small spindle-celled sarcoma of uterus, X 500.—L, L, longitudinal bundles of spindles; T, T, transversesections of bundles; 0, 0, oblique sections of bundles; A, artery collapsed; C, C, capillaries. Spindle myeloma is comparatively rare, and is composed of spindle-shaped protoplasmic bodies with irregular, coarsely granular nuclei, freelyinterlacing and somewhat resembling fibro-myoma. I observed a case ofthis variety of tumor which started from the body of the uterus and ex-tended to the broad ligament, the tubes, and one of the ovaries. All thetissues of the organs named were transformed into spindle-shaped myeloma-corpuscles. The diagnosis of this tumor was made from scrapings, and extirpation of the uterus and adnexa was performed, appearance of the tumor is represented in Fig. 1. The microscopical 596 MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS OF THE UTERUS. Fig. 2.. Small spindle-celled sarcoma of uterus aud aduexa: posterior view, one-half natural size. Fio. 3.
