Cockpit of the new Bell 429 helicopter on static display at the Farnborough Airshow 2006 . Bell Helicopters is part of the Textron group based in Providence Rhode Island New York . According to Bell press releases the Certification from Transport Canada Civil Aviation and the United States Federal Aviation Administration for the 429 is planned for 2007 . Initial production is scheduled for late 2007 and European Aviation Safety certification will follow in mid 2008 . It is designed to carry 2700 lb pounds with a Single Pilot IFR configuration and a maximum Range of 365 nautical miles with full payload .
