Cricket moulting. Cricket emerging from its exoskeleton late one evening. This is done as the insect grows, as the exoskeleton cannot expand but has to be shed. The insect will be vulnerable until the new exoskeleton has formed. Here, the antennae have straightened out. Photographed in Gunung Mulu National Park, in Sarawak, the Malaysian part of the island of Borneo.
